Peacock listed for Super League Man of SteelPosted on 19/09/2013 in Rugby
A decade after picking up Super League's top individual accolade, Leeds veteran Jamie Peacock has been shortlisted for the 2013 Man of Steel award.
The 35-year-old former Bradford Bull enjoyed something of a renaissance this season and has been pivotal in the Rhinos' bid to make it three Grand Final wins in a row.
Leeds play Saints in their next play-off match on Friday night (September 20th) and will be hoping that Peacock's Indian summer continues for a few more games yet.
The forward is up against Wigan captain Sean O'Loughlin and Huddersfield skipper Danny Brough for the coveted award, with the winner to be announced at a gala dinner in Manchester on Monday, September 30th, five days before the Grand Final.
As well as the Man of Steel prize, the Rugby Football League also announced the three starlets on the young player of the year list were Hull centre Ben Crooks, London winger Kieran Dixon and Catalan Dragons fullback Morgan Escare.
