Marler: England need a great start against the ScotsPosted on 07/02/2014 in Rugby
Joe Marler wants England to get out of the blocks quicker against Scotland than they did in Paris.
England suffered a narrow 26-24 defeat to France on the opening day of the Six Nations, but showed considerable spirit to come back from being 16-3 down in the opening period of the encounter.
However, the Harlequins prop wants to be leading from the front at Murrayfield.
Marler told Sky Sports: "We know it won't be easy, conditions probably won't be good – there's a lot of chat about the pitch from the media saying it's not very good, stuff like that."
Despite the difficulties, Marler admits it will be the same for both teams, both of which suffered defeats last week and will need to get a win on the board if they are to have a successful Six Nations.
