Phil Taylor wins in BerlinPosted on 25/06/2012 in Other
Phil Taylor looked back to his barnstorming best in winning the German Darts Championship – his first European Tour win.
The Power produced seven 180s to help him beat Dave Chisnall 6-2 in the final.
It completed an impressive tournament for Taylor after he also recorded victories over Raymond van Barneveld, Colin Lloyd and Wes Newton.
The world number one, who finished the game with a three-dart average of 106.82 said he was delighted with the title.
"Dave's played some great darts throughout the weekend so I knew I'd have to be at my best in the final and it's great to win. It's a fantastic way to set myself up for the World Matchplay," he stated.
With that tournament coming up in on July 21st, Taylor will be looking to add more trophies to his bulging silverware cabinet.
The 15 time world champion has already won the Premier League this year and was narrowly beaten in the final of the UK Open.
