Adrian Lewis takes German titlePosted on 30/09/2012 in Other
Adrian Lewis is continuing his good form ahead of October's World Grand Prix.
The Jackpot defeated fellow Stoke thrower Ian White 6-3 in the final of the German Darts Masters to take his first title since claiming the World Championship in January.
Since then, however he was the only man to take any points from Phil Taylor in the Premier League, made it to the fourth round of the UK Open and narrowly lost out to Terry Jenkins in the quarter-finals of the World Matchplay.
Lewis said his time in Germany has gone perfectly for him.
"I doubted myself in patches in some games, but I've come through strongly at the end. I kept focused and was pretty consistent and it's a massive confidence boost for me," he stated.
The 27-year-old will now be able to take this new self belief not only into the Dublin showpiece, but the win will also put him in good stead ahead of the European Championships.
Lewis has been drawn against White in the first round of the competition, which begins on September 23rd.
