Milan to sneak it away to Barca?

Posted on 29/03/2012 in International, Serie A

AC Milan's odds in the Champions League betting market may be worth looking at after the Rossoneri held Barcelona 0-0 in the first leg of their quarter final tie at the San Siro.

While the Catalans dominated possession as usual, stubborn defending and the refusal of the referee to award a penalty when goalkeeper Christian Abbiati brought down Alexis Sanchez meant Barcelona failed to score in a Champions League game for the first time since 2009.

And although Milan missed two big chances themselves through Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, an away goal at the Nou Camp could be crucial.

Indeed, it may be noted that in the group stages the two sides drew 2-2 in Catalunia and a repeat result would see the holders go out.

Fans may be keen to back the sides who have done best away from home in the first legs of the quarter finals, with Bayern Munich's 2-0 win in Marseille adding to wins for Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Should England's last representatives complete the task against Benfica, they will face Barca or Milan in the last four.
