Manuel Pellegrini: Man City will win more next seasonPosted on 12/05/2014 in Premier League
Within minutes of picking up his first league title in Europe, Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini was already targeting more glory.
A 2-0 victory over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium yesterday (May 11th) was enough to ensure City won their second title in three years and it means they finish the season with two of the three domestic pieces of silverware after winning the Capital One Cup back in March.
But Pellegrini said he will not allow his players to rest on their laurels and has vowed to drive City on to further success at home and abroad.
He told Sky Sports: "Big teams cannot be satisfied just with one title.
"It is very important that we have won two titles in the year, we must celebrate today and tomorrow. On Tuesday we will start working for next season, because for the club and the players it is so important."
