Messi included for Bayern tripPosted on 22/04/2013 in La Liga
Lionel Messi has been included in the Barcelona squad to take on newly-crowned German champions Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of the Champions League tomorrow (April 23rd).
The world player of the year picked up a hamstring injury in the quarter-final first-leg draw with Paris Saint Germain.
He has not played domestically since, but did make a surprise substitute appearance a week later to help Barca progress.
Reports from Spain suggest Messi trained as usual yesterday morning and even though he is still waiting for the official all-clear from the medical team, he has been included in Tito Vilanova's 21-man squad for the trip to the Allianz.
His inclusion means the only players missing from the La Liga leaders' squad are injured defenders Carles Puyol and Javier Mascherano plus the suspended Adriano.
Bayern are relishing the prospect of facing Barcelona at home after regaining their domestic title and defender Dante claimed that the tie could be "the greatest show on Earth".
