LeBron James to play with a mask against KnicksPosted on 26/02/2014 in NBA
LeBron James plans to return to action against the New York Knicks on Thursday (February 27th).
The NBA's MVP has been on the sidelines with a broken nose and his training has been limited while avoiding contact drills. He missed Monday's win over the Chicago Bulls, but with the aid of a protective mask, he wants to take on the Knicks.
"Every day is better," he said. "I haven't been hit on it either. That definitely helps."
Miami improved to 2-0 without James against Chicago, but the forward admits that he didn't like watching from the side of the court, having only missed a handful of matches in his entire NBA career.
"It was terrible," he said. "I was happy we got the win, but I hate sitting out."
Will LeBron still be MVP quality from behind a mask? Can Miami catch Indiana at the top of the Eastern Conference? Will the Knicks make it physical against the Heat?
