James Harden’s looking forward to life in HoustonPosted on 29/10/2012 in NBA
James Harden has said that he is looking forward to beginning his time at the Houston Rockets.
The current NBA Sixth Man of the Year insists that despite the surprise and speed of the trade that will see him move from the Thunder to Texas, he does not expect the money men to hit any problems and he wants to pull on a Rockets jersey for the season opener against Detroit on Wednesday night (October 31st).
He said: "It happened so fast. It happened very fast.
"But this is the position I’m in now. Just have to make the best out of it. I'm with Houston now. I just have to come in here and play hard and win games."
Harden had three seasons in Oklahoma, which climaxed with a run to the NBA Finals last year.
The guard will move up from the bench in Houston and is expected to form a formidable backcourt partnership with Jeremy Lin.
Two-time NBA Champions Houston traded Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb and two first-round picks, including a guaranteed plumb lottery pick via Toronto to get their man.
