Durant v LeBron as OKC head to the Heat

Posted on 29/01/2014 in NBA

The NBA's best two players will meet on court tonight (January 29th) for the first time this season.

Kevin Durant – fresh from wins over the Spurs and the Trailblazers – will bring his Thunder team to Miami to take on LeBron James.

The scoring champion is putting up career-best figures this season and has hit at least 30 points in his last 11 games.

James will be guarding him at the small forward slot and said: "Individually, he can't be stopped by any one-on-one player. There's nobody that can guard him one-on-one.

"He's a great guy to compete against. I wish I could play against him every night because he brings that competitive nature out of you."

Despite the world's media focusing on the individual contest in the race for the MVP title, King James insists it's a team sport and he only hopes the Heat get a win to maintain pace with Indiana at the top of the Eastern Conference.
