Anthony sprains ankle in Knicks winPosted on 24/12/2013 in NBA
The Knicks could be without Carmelo Anthony for their festive schedule after the forward picked up an ankle injury in the 103-98 win over the Orlando Magic.
Anthony told teammates after the game he is remaining optimistic about the amount of time that he will need to spend on the sidelines.
The All-Star said. "I think I caught it before it rolled all the way but it rolled pretty bad. So we will evaluate everything. The good thing is I am able to walk with a little bit of pain."
Coach Mike Woodson may also have to do without point guard Raymond Felton as he also hobbled off against the Magic.
So far New York have failed to hit the heights that they managed last season, when they vied with Miami for the best record in the East. With two key injuries and a game against Kevin Durant and Oklahoma City on Christmas Day the situation is unlikely to improve any time soon.
